James Parr is an award‑winning multidisciplinary model, speaker, event host and advocate reshaping representation in fashion, media and culture. A proud Wiradjuri man, First Nations queer triathlete and osteosarcoma survivor, James draws on his lived experience, including the amputation of his lower right leg, to challenge stereotypes and champion inclusion for people of all abilities across mainstream platforms.

James’s career bridges high fashion and social impact, being featured in editorials for both Vogue and GQ Australia. He has walked runways at Melbourne Fashion Week, Melbourne Fashion Festival and Australian Afterpay Fashion Week, where he was named a .Changemaker’. And in 2023 he was named Model of the Year at the GQ Men of the Year Awards and received the Social Impact National Award for Disability Leadership. In 2024, James was included in Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia Pacific and recognised as one of Time Out Melbourne’s Future Shapers, underscoring his influence both on and off the runway.

His modelling portfolio includes work with major global brands such as Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, The Iconic, Myer and Champion, with brand ambassadorships with the likes of Lululemon, bringing visibility to a broader conversation around inclusion and representation in fashion and media.

James is also a respected writer and commentator, contributing to editorial outlets including Pedestrian TV, Mamamia, Esquire Magazine, Urban List and Harper’s Bazaar, where he shares insight on disability, culture and creative practice.

Beyond the fashion world, James’s advocacy extends into education, community engagement and youth support. Reflecting his commitment to empowering emerging generations of changemakers and amplifying voices across disability, First Nations and LGBTQIA+ communities.
