Louis Libran

Sydney

Neil ‘Louis Libran’ Johnson, also known as Louis Libran, is a talented First Nations queer model, artist, musician, actor, and content creator based in Sydney. He is deeply passionate about all things creative, with his initial interest in the arts stemming from music, which he discovered at a young age. He later became involved in acting during high school and began modelling shortly after graduation.

Louis discovered his love for music at an early age and has been passionate about all thing’s music ever since. He has explored various music avenues such as composing, producing, performing, and teaching music.  However, he finds his strongest connection to music when writing songs. At 17, Louis joined 'The Violet Stones,' an alternative post-grunge band where he played bass and sang backup vocals. The band played at numerous major and underground venues in Sydney and independently recorded/released two full-length albums. After studying music production in university, Louis wanted to explore his sound and started creating electronic alt-pop independently with the hope of inspiring queer kids like himself. Louis often incorporates these themes into his music and the brands and jobs he works with. Growing up as a closeted, shy queer boy in the rough suburbs of Western Sydney, Louis often felt that he couldn't express himself freely until he left home and found a more accepting environment in the inner west. He released his debut EP in 2021, and his music has been played on local and international radio stations and playlists. Louis has performed as a solo act at events such as Fair Day @ World Pride, Queer Formal 2023, King Street Carnival, LGBTQIA+ event Unicorns, and more.

Louis has had the opportunity to work with several big brands, including Bonds, Tourism Australia, HP, L’Oréal Paris, Pinterest, F45, Blackmores, Canva, and more. His goal in all his creative endeavours is to maximize his exposure as much as possible for visibility in the industries he never saw himself growing up. For Louis, every opportunity and achievement he gains is an opportunity to bring queer BIPOC to the front.

Driven by his mission for visibility and fearless self-expression, Louis hopes to inspire individuals to embrace their true selves and live their most colourful, authentic lives. Through his success, he also hopes to bring attention to important topics such as mental health, the queer experience, and self-love. With his talent and passion, Louis is poised to make a lasting impact on the world of art and beyond.
