Emily Weir is an Australian award-winning actress making waves in her career.
Having first appeared on Home and Away in 2019, Emilys character, Mackenzie Booth, is now a household favourite among Australians.
In 2003, Emily landed her first television appearance on The Sleepover Club which later sparked her interest in pursuing a career of acting. Six years later, after realising studying business and creative arts was not the path she wanted to go down, Emily moved to London, England where she worked for 3 years as the Director of First Impressions at one of the top 10 law firms in the UK.
Emily is an open book, she vulnerably shares the struggles she faces with the highs and lows of her path into acting, as well as the challenges she faced with alcoholism, her path to recovery, and the realities of living with OCD and anxiety. She shares these insights in hopes to help others, and help shift the narrative of what an 'alcoholic' looks like.
An avid reader and passionate dancer, during her free time Emily also likes to get in touch with her spiritual side by practising yoga and meditation.
